    DJI AGRAS T25P vs T50 vs T70P vs T100: Sizing a Spraying Drone for Your Farm

    Drone spraying has gone from novelty to routine on North American farms. DJI's 2025–2026 AGRAS range spans 20 L to 100 L tanks. This guide helps you pick the right size, understand what a full system costs and know which licences you need before the first flight.

    AGRAS T25P — the one-person system

    The DJI AGRAS T25P fits in a pickup bed and can be lifted by one person. Its 20 L tank and 8 m swath suit orchards, vineyards, hops, berries and irregular fields where the larger models waste time turning. Terrain-following radar handles slopes, and the RC Plus 2 with RTK gives repeatable paths. It is the model we recommend to growers who want to own rather than hire spraying capacity. The older DJI AGRAS T25 remains available at lower cost with slightly reduced coverage.

    AGRAS T50 — the mid-size workhorse

    The DJI AGRAS T50 doubles the tank to 40 L and adds dual atomising sprayers and a 50 kg spreader. It is the sweet spot for row-crop farms between roughly 300 and 500 acres per day of application: large enough to be efficient, small enough that two people can run it with a single generator and six batteries.

    AGRAS T70P — flow rate for large acreage

    The DJI AGRAS T70P carries 70 L and up to 100 kg of granular material with a 12 m swath and higher pump flow, cutting refills on big fields. AI-assisted obstacle sensing helps around pivots and power lines. Choose it when you spray 500+ acres a day or need to broadcast cover-crop seed and fertiliser at scale.

    AGRAS T100 — contractor scale

    The DJI AGRAS T100 is DJI's largest AGRAS: 100 L of liquid or 150 kg of granules, an 18 m swath and around 50 ha per hour. It is built for custom applicators and very large operations, and its size means transport, generator capacity and crew planning become part of the purchase decision. We quote it as a turnkey system.

    What a complete system includes

    Every AGRAS quote from ASI Computer itemises the aircraft and RC, 4–8 intelligent flight batteries, a DJI intelligent charger with generator (or the D12000iE inverter generator), the spreading system, a D-RTK 3 base station or network RTK plan, spare nozzles/pumps/propellers, a transport solution and pilot training. Ask for a spray-season delivery date; T25P and T50 systems usually deliver within 3–5 weeks when in stock, while T70P and T100 may be built to order.

    Licences before liquids

    United States: Part 107 pilot certificate, Part 137 operator certificate with the drone exemption, a Section 44807 exemption for aircraft over 55 lb, and a state pesticide applicator licence. Budget several months for the FAA process.
    Canada: RPAS pilot certificate (Advanced or Level 1 Complex), an SFOC for aerial application, provincial pesticide certification and PMRA-approved product labels for drone application. Rules are evolving; confirm with Transport Canada and your province.

    Discontinued models

    The DJI AGRAS T10 and DJI AGRAS T40 are no longer in production. If you operate them, contact us for spares and replacement planning; the T25P and T50 are the respective successors.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    How many acres can an AGRAS spray per hour?

    DJI's rated figures are approximately 15 ha (37 acres) per hour for the T25P, 27.5 ha (68 acres) for the T50, 35 ha (86 acres) for the T70P and 50 ha (124 acres) for the T100 under ideal conditions. Real-world output is typically 60–80% of that once battery swaps and refills are included.

    Do I need a licence to spray with a drone in the US?

    Yes: an FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate, a Part 137 agricultural aircraft operator certificate (with a Part 137 exemption for drones), an exemption from Part 61 as applicable, and a state pesticide applicator licence. Aircraft over 55 lb, which includes all AGRAS models when loaded, also need a Section 44807 exemption.

    What about Canada?

    You need a Transport Canada RPAS pilot certificate (Advanced, or Level 1 Complex for medium drones under the November 2025 rules), a Special Flight Operations Certificate for spraying, and provincial pesticide applicator certification. Products must be labelled for aerial application.

    Why is AGRAS pricing quote-only?

    The aircraft is only part of the system. Batteries, a generator or charging station, spreader kit, RTK base station, spare parts and training vary by operation, and DJI ships AGRAS through configured dealer channels. We quote the full configuration so the price is exact.
